It was a cold winter morning
in the city of Banja Luka (Republic of Srpska) on
a December 25th 2000., when three brave men and good
friends started their vengeance upon the fake and
empty world, and stood on a threaded path from which
only victors will return. Since then, their music
was a flag of hate they carried through many places
here and there with only one word written on it -
Interfector.
Those three brave men are:
Carcass - misanthropic voices, bass
Invictus - guitars, mystical chanting
Apeiron - propeller/drums
The inspiration for their
musical journies came straight from their hearts filled
with love and hate for everything around them, from
the everlasting quest for something beyond and from
the ancient and very rich Serbian tradition and history.
The structures of their songs includes everything
from the raw old-school black metal to technical death,
combined with progressive elements and the ethnic
folk sounds. They carried their flag through the cities
of Banja Luka, Belgrade, Brcko, Sombor, Kragujevac,
Novi Sad, Ruma, Pancevo, Krusevac (Republic of Srpska,
Serbia), Podgorica (Montenegro), Dubrovnik (Croatia),
Sarajevo, Zenica (Bosnia), and through many other
places enriching their music and bringing new ideas
and challenges to cope with.
Somewhere in 2001., the band
recorded its first self-produced live CD, entitled
Brcko Masakr 2001, and after that,
one demo was recorded, a song called 'The Lightbringer'.
Promo 2002 was released, which included 'The Lightbringer'
and two songs from the live CD.
The reinFORCEment has arrived
in the summer 2002. when keyboardist and Belgrade-native
Antares (Draconic) became permanent
Interfector member, and the time has come to be written
what is said. In December 2002. the full-lenght album
was recorded, at 'Cassablanca' studio, Belgrade/Serbia.
9 songs making up 45 minutes of real black metal blasts
mixed with progressive and folk sounds, as it has
never seen before in the metal scene. A new promo
is made, titled Promo 2003., with three brand new
songs, taken from the upcoming album.
The album is named The
Force Within (more),
and it is released in April, 2004. by the best Serbian
record label - Rock Express Records...
Interfector is armed and
ready for the upcoming gigs and festivals, so... expect
the unexpected!
